Naturade is a supplement manufacturer that makes plant-based, vegan protein shakes and supplements. Founded in 1926, Naturade is headquartered in Irvine, California.
Naturade pioneered soy protein powders in the 1950s. They also make vitamins, nutritional supplements, skin care, and hair care products.
Naturade is the first Black-owned company in the plant-based nutrition category to be sold at Costco. They debuted at Costco in 2020.
Naturade's co-owners, Kareem Cook and Claude Tellis, started the company while they were college friends at Duke University. They noticed that many people in their families had diet-related illnesses like diabetes. They believe that everyone should have access to quality food regardless of income, location, and race.
Naturade recently introduced VeganSmart All-in-One Organic Shakes in Vanilla Creme, Chai Spices, Chocolate Fudge, and Wild Berries.
